Spiritual unions have always captivated me because they are blatant examples of spiritual energy’s resonance power. When two people are drawn together, they unknowingly emanate the essence of their connection outwardly, without provocation or intention. Others can feel the shift in frequency just by standing within a few feet of them.
Every couple hopes to achieve such consistent energetic resonance, wishing that what they experience in the honeymoon phase will last forever. But it often doesn't. Instead, the current tapers down, and in the most unfortunate ways, the shimmer completely wears off. This type of energetic congruence is a rare sight, yet it is drastically misrecognized and undervalued.
The Institution of Marriage
Now, I would never speak down on the institution of marriage. I believe it can be highly beneficial to both individuals and societies, as long as it is understood for what it truly is—an institution. I don't need to dive into the deep history of marriage here, but a quick look at its historical purpose helps clarify the premise of this post.
Nevertheless, as someone on this path who has spent decades listening to stories about love spells and misaligned relationships, I can effortlessly say this:
You don’t want to seek a marriage if what you truly desire is a loving relationship and partner. Instead, you should find your spiritual partner.
Spiritual unions and institutional marriages are completely different relationships, ordained by different sources and held together by completely different forces. It is wise to understand both before assuming what you will get from them.
Spiritually, we know we must never underestimate the power of words. If we are mixing blood, breath, sweat, and emotion into a binding contract, that contract will inevitably intensify and bring the exact meaning of those words to life within our reality.
The Anatomy of an Energetic Mismatch
The standard process of marriage typically unfolds like this: person meets person, they begin courting, they physically intertwine, and eventually, they marry. Depending on the how and why they met, they may experience raw lust, passion, and infatuation at various points. They perceive this as falling in love, which temporarily raises their vibration and attraction to one another. For many, this is "the fun part."
Eventually, however, this current falls flat—especially if these energies are felt in different measures, at different times, and for different reasons by each individual. This mismatch creates an energetic imbalance that is felt internally and eventually manifests in the physical world. Once this gap widens, it is incredibly difficult to repair.
We see this incongruity when:
- Unwarranted arguments arise frequently
- Deep-seated insecurities manifest outwardly
- Scarcity and abandonment issues kick in
- The ego steps in to regain power
This is a massive sign of a mismatched union, no matter what path you walk or what god you worship. Still, many will argue that this is just part of being in a relationship and that nothing is perfect.
Why Love Spells Can't Fix the Crack
But here is the quiet part out loud that everyone knows subconsciously: these struggles are signs that you are forcing a relationship to work based on energetic incongruence. From a mundane perspective, swap "energetic incongruence" for words like mismatched values, backgrounds, or emotional, physical, and psychological alignment.
Typically, people see these cracks as a sign to get out their relationship toolkit and go to work. However, those of us on this path should thank our guiding forces instead. We must not cast a spell to force a relationship to work or bend a partner into who we want them to be. We should view the friction as an early protective sign that we are with the wrong person, and that the right partner is still out there waiting for us.
And no—no love spell can repair this.
The Mechanics of a True Spiritual Union
Spiritual unions occur quite differently. They commonly happen under unconventional or inconvenient circumstances, sometimes when one or both parties are already involved with others. These unions are never one-sided, forced, or built on coveting and imposing one’s Will onto another. Instead, they are about a shared frequency between two people that they themselves cannot alter.
Not only is this frequency intense, but it is subconsciously picked up by outsiders. Sometimes people mistakenly mistake this high vibration for mere lust, assuming the two have been physically intimate even when they haven't. This is simply society’s way of trying to make sense of a rare, high-vibrational energetic field that is usually only generated through private intimacy.
The Spiritual Twin Mirror
What makes spiritual unions so fundamentally different from marriages is that their connection was not humanly ordained. They do not require a community or third parties to foster, manage, or police their relationship. The rules and guidelines are already embedded within the connection itself for both individuals.
The best way to explain this is that the connection acts as a perfect spiritual mirror:
- Both parties know that to lie to the other is to lie to themselves.
- To hurt the other is to hurt themselves.
- Whatever they do to their partner, they do to themselves—and they often feel the rebound more intensely.
Even without a constant physical connection, two people in a spiritual union are spiritually conjoined like twins. As time goes on, they develop shared senses and a direct intuition regarding the other's feelings. They literally become One.
Evolving Past Normalized Suffering
For clarity's sake, some institutional marriages can experience moments of a spiritual union, and spiritual unions can certainly choose to enter the institution of marriage. The point is that these are two entirely different categories of relationships, and instinctively, we all know this.
We must also recognize that each and every one of us has a spiritual, energetic partner out there, and much of the suffering we allow in relationships simply doesn't have to be. We must stop getting comfortable suffering for love. Society should not normalize this pain, as it only pushes us further away from our human and spiritual evolutionary growth.
