I still find it interesting that after decades of the popularization of Magick and the occult, many still try to use Magick to get rich or become wealthy. Doing so actually blinds the aspiring practitioner to what Magick truly is. It hides not only the mental, emotional, psychological, and energetic sacrifices required, but also the realization that Magick is only a gateway.

Magick vs. The Occult: Moving Beyond the Gateway

Yes, Magick is a gateway—meaning it is only the beginning of the knowledge that awakens humans to the power laying mostly dormant within the majority. The rest of the knowledge, known as the occult, is where you learn the framework and structure upon which this entire world has been constructed.

However, many individuals become so enthralled by a mere semblance of ability to change their life that they quit their studies after a few low-magick spells, all while quickly adopting a title of great mastery.

Magick allows people to think they can simply utter words, dance, chant, spill blood, light candles, check moon phases, and direct energy to obtain whatever they want in life—and in many cases, this is true. However, major requests require major knowledge applied skillfully. This reaches far beyond merely connecting with deities and daemons.

The Science of Receiving: Why Spells Fall Short

Although I’ve seen some of these wealth spells actually begin to work for a practitioner, it was often unbeknownst to them because they lacked the scientific intelligence to recognize the ignition of their own fire. In addition, they didn’t know how to mentally prepare for receiving their request.

They ultimately demonstrated to the spirits and energies that, although they stumbled upon a proper conjuration, they did not possess the energetic or financial acumen to retain the wealth potentially bestowed upon them. Receiving, after all, is only the first part of the equation.

Do not misunderstand my intentions; none of this is written with malice or mockery toward those who have attempted such feats. This is simply because a lifetime ago, that very same mirror bore my own reflection. Luckily, it is this memory that places me in a position to help others who have truly been called to this path as part of my life’s work.

The 1 Million Questions Behind Financial Manifestation

Well, let’s ask the inevitable question: Is it even possible to become rich and wealthy using Magick? And if so, how should one use Magick to achieve it?

The answer to the first question is: Yes. Of course. Naturally. However, this single question leads to a million other questions for the practitioner—answers that will either stop a spell in its tracks or propel it forward, only to halt its effects later on down the line.

• How do you want to get rich?
• What do you mean by wealth?
• What kind of wealth? How much?
• In what way would you like to be wealthy?
• What channels are currently available for wealth to appear?
• Are you prepared to receive that wealth?
• How have you prepared for its reception, maintenance, growth, and retention?

Shifting from Magician to Scientist

Those who undertake this type of working out of a place of great imbalance and shortsightedness will never devote themselves to the study of this path long enough to earn the title of Magician. This specific type of working requires that you skip the standard magician mindset entirely and instead adopt the analytical and strategic skills of an occultist or a scientist—which are truly one and the same.

The practitioner must know that this spell can render immediate results or span across decades depending on how it was cast. Energy takes the path of least resistance and operates with meticulous detail. It often shows signs and completes the working long before the practitioner even realizes the magnitude of what he or she has conjured or summoned.

Thursday, August 27-28 Blood Moon Style Harvest Magick Reminder

 

The next "Blood Moon" style lunar eclipse occurs overnight on Thursday, August 27 into Friday, August 28, 2026. While it is technically classified as an exceptionally deep partial lunar eclipse, 96% of the Moon will enter Earth's dark inner shadow (the umbra). This massive coverage will cause nearly the entire lunar disk to take on the famous rusty red or deep orange "Blood Moon" hue. 

Earlier this year, a true total lunar eclipse took place on March 3, 2026. 

Timing and Peak Coverage

The eclipse is a gradual event unfolding over more than five hours. Peak "Blood Moon" coloration occurs at the Maximum Eclipse time: 

• Pacific Daylight Time (PDT): Thursday, August 27 at 9:12 p.m.
• Mountain Daylight Time (MDT): Thursday, August 27 at 10:12 p.m.
• Central Daylight Time (CDT): Thursday, August 27 at 11:12 p.m.
• Eastern Daylight Time (EDT): Friday, August 28 at 12:12 a.m.
• Greenwich Mean Time (GMT / UTC): Friday, August 28 at 4:12 a.m. 

Where to Watch

• North and South America: These regions have the absolute best seats. Skies allowing, observers will be able to view the entire sequence from start to finish during prime night hours. 
• Europe and West Africa: The eclipse will be visible in the late night and early pre-dawn hours of August 28. The Moon will set while the eclipse is still finishing up. 

The upcoming overnight celestial event on Thursday, August 27 into Friday, August 28, 2026, has a few unique characteristics that distinguish it from standard lunar events. 

1. It is Technically a Partial Eclipse (But Won't Look Like One)

While it isn't classified as a total lunar eclipse, 96.2% of the Moon's visible surface will enter Earth's dark central umbral shadow at maximum eclipse. Because such an overwhelming majority of the disk is covered, the Moon will still dramatically dim and take on a deep dusty copper or rusty red "Blood Moon" hue. Only a tiny, razor-thin silver sliver on the bottom edge will remain fully lit by direct sunlight. 

2. A Cosmic Double-Feature with Saturn

Astronomy observers get an extra treat during the eclipse: the planet Saturn will be brightly visible in the exact same region of the night sky. It will appear as a steady, golden point of light located just to the lower left of the eclipsed Moon. While they aren't in a tight conjunction on the night of the eclipse itself, they will stand side-by-side in close proximity.

3. It Will Be the Best Lunar Show Until 2028

This event marks the most impressive and deep lunar eclipse anywhere on Earth until a true total lunar eclipse arrives on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2028. Following this August sky show, the next few partial eclipses will be exceptionally shallow and barely noticeable to the naked eye. 

4. Apogee Makes it Average Size

The eclipse takes place just over five days after the Moon reaches apogee—its farthest point from Earth in its monthly orbit. Because it is sitting further out in space, the full "Sturgeon Moon" will appear completely average in size rather than a massive "Supermoon." 

5. Highly Favorable Timing for the Americas

Unlike many eclipses that peak during inconvenient daytime hours or require you to travel, the Americas have an ideal viewing vantage point. The entire 5-hour and 38-minute duration unfolds squarely overnight during prime viewing hours for nearly everyone in North and South America. 

For practitioners, Blood Moon magick is great for aiding your workings for personal transformation. Depending on the way you conduct your rituals, you may not need the use of actual blood to boost your power. Again, this all depends on your private practice, the type of rituals you conduct, and what deities you invoke or evoke. Remember, just as everything else evolves, so must our practices.

Is Social Media Ushering In The Return of the Satanic / Occult Panic in the Digital Age?

 It’s quite common today for people to speak of witchcraft, curses, Voodoo, and especially the Occult, yet not know what the hell they are talking about. You would  think we were living in the 80’s and 90’s with the number of occult accusations thrown around on a day to day basis. But one thing for sure is, you’ll find that the very same people speaking ill of the occult are just as, or partake in, even more evil on a day-to-day basis, than those they love to cast dispersions on. 

Let’s all start on the same foot— occult simply means, “ hidden knowledge”. It doesn’t mean blood drinker, one who sacrifices babies, or people who cast spells on others to harm them. None of those labels define the occult, or an occultist, for that matter.  To be clear, while there are those who do, not all occultists practice black magick or any magick for that matter. There’s more to the occult than trying to affect the lives of others, and many occultists, like myself, study the occult to understand the hidden mysteries, the internal workings of the universe, life, and the world around them. 

Throughout modern history, societies periodically enter phases of moral panic surrounding hidden forces believed to be corrupting culture. One of the most recognizable forms of this phenomenon is the Satanic Panic—a period in which occult practices, secret societies, and alternative spiritual beliefs are framed as widespread threats to public safety or moral order. While the most famous wave occurred in the 1980s and early 1990s, a similar pattern has begun emerging again in the 2020s. The modern version is less centralized but spreads rapidly through online media, creating a decentralized yet persistent cultural fear of occult influence.

Historical Background

The original Satanic Panic in North America and parts of Europe took place primarily between 1980 and 1995. During this period, allegations of secret satanic cults infiltrating schools, daycares, music, and media became widespread. High-profile criminal cases, sensational media coverage, and talk shows amplified the belief that underground occult networks were harming children or manipulating society.

Despite thousands of investigations, no organized satanic conspiracy was ever proven to exist. Most cases were later attributed to false memories, coercive interrogation techniques, or misinterpretations of alternative religious practices.

By the mid-1990s, the panic largely subsided as courts overturned convictions and academic research exposed the psychological and social mechanisms that fueled the hysteria.

Conditions That Enable Moral Panics

Moral panics do not appear randomly. They usually emerge when several conditions converge:

1. Rapid social change
   When cultural norms shift quickly—through technology, politics, or generational differences—people often seek explanations for perceived instability.

2. Loss of institutional trust
   When governments, media, or traditional authorities lose credibility, alternative narratives gain traction.

3. Ambiguous symbols
   Imagery associated with the occult—pentagrams, tarot cards, astrology, ritual symbolism—can easily be interpreted as threatening by those unfamiliar with their context.

4. Media amplification
   Once fear narratives begin circulating, media ecosystems can magnify them dramatically.

These elements are visible again in the current environment.

The Role of the Internet

Unlike the 1980s, today’s panic is shaped primarily by algorithmic media platforms.

Social networks reward emotionally intense content, particularly material that triggers outrage or fear. Conspiracy narratives about hidden occult elites, secret rituals, or symbolic manipulation spread quickly because they generate engagement.

Instead of a few television programs or newspapers driving the narrative, millions of users now participate in amplifying and remixing it. Videos, podcasts, and social media threads reinterpret symbolism in music videos, corporate logos, political imagery, or celebrity behavior as evidence of hidden satanic influence.

This decentralized amplification makes the modern panic both more diffuse and more persistent.

Blending With Conspiracy Culture

The current occult panic often merges with social media and broader conspiracy frameworks. For example, YouTube videos about global elites, secret societies, or hidden power structures sometimes incorporate occult symbolism as proof of hidden agendas.

These interpretations frequently reinterpret ordinary cultural artifacts—artistic imagery, fashion aesthetics, or entertainment themes—as deliberate occult messaging. In many cases, the symbolic language of art, mythology, or literature becomes misunderstood as literal ritual practice. You can’t watch a music video or awards ceremony today without someone citing Occult symbology.

This blending of conspiracy theory and occult symbolism creates a feedback loop where each reinforces the other.

Cultural Reactions to the Occult

Another factor driving the current panic is the increased visibility of alternative spiritual practices.

Over the past two decades, practices such as tarot reading, astrology, ceremonial magic, and pagan traditions have become more visible online. Social media has allowed practitioners to share rituals, symbolism, and philosophical ideas openly.

For some observers, this visibility appears threatening, especially when it contrasts with traditional religious frameworks. The result is a cultural clash between those who view occult traditions as historical or spiritual practices and those who interpret them as dangerous or immoral.

Psychological Mechanisms

Several psychological tendencies also play a role:

Pattern recognition – Humans naturally look for meaning in symbols and coincidences.
Agency detection – People often assume intentional design behind ambiguous events.
Narrative satisfaction – Complex social problems feel easier to understand when attributed to secret groups or hidden rituals.

These tendencies can transform vague symbolism into perceived evidence of organized occult influence.

Differences From the 1980s Panic

Although the current situation echoes earlier fears, there are important differences:

• The panic is less centralized and spreads through decentralized online communities.
• It is intertwined with broader conspiracy cultures rather than existing as a standalone narrative.
• Counter-information and skepticism are also widely available online, creating competing interpretations.

This results in a fragmented cultural landscape where belief and skepticism coexist simultaneously.

Conclusion

The resurgence of satanic or occult panic in the 2020s demonstrates how societies react to uncertainty and fear based cultural change. As technology reshapes media ecosystems and traditional authority structures weaken, symbolic interpretations and conspiracy narratives can spread rapidly.

Understanding this reoccurring phenomenon requires recognizing the psychological, cultural, and technological forces that shape how societies interpret symbols, power, and secrecy.

In that sense, the current occult panic is less about the occult itself and more about how human societies process uncertainty in times of rapid change.
